Yoga Shibir on Tuesday, 12th January
Swami Vivekananda’s birthday is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm every year on the 12th of January.
Since, 1985, it is being observed as National Youth Day (Yuva Diwas) all over the country by sensitizing the youth to the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and his ideals. Philosophies, teachings and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda are great cultural and traditional assets of India.
Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest sons of India, always believed in the power of the youth to lead and nourish the country’s historical culture and spear head its development. It was therefore decided by the Government of India that Swami Vivekananda’s birthday would be celebrated as the National Youth Day to tap the eternal energy of the youth & motivate the youth through the way of life, thereby helping in the development of the country and securing a better future.
To celebrate the Rastriya Yuva Diwas, SIU has organized a Yoga Shibir for all the staff and students on the 12th of January from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm at SIU Campus, Lavale. The Yoga Shibir will be conducted by Param Pujya Shri. Baba Ramdevji.
Highlight of the Shibir is the participation of around 6500 students and staff of Symbiosis, including International students from 85 countries.
