SID students of open elective 2016 - "Best out of waste" participated in Amplify Art exhibition last week, held on 02.10.16 at Papertells, Art gallery, Shivaji Nagar, Pune. "Best out of waste" elective was conducted by Prof. Neha Mandlik, Workshop Incharge & Instructors Mr. Vijay Sutar and Mr. Mukund Wagh of Industrial Design department, SID.

"AmplifyArt" is a community of student artists, writers, musicians and film-makers from all over India.It is was a Youth based Art exhibition.The Chief Guest and Jury member was Mr. Sukant Panigrahy who is a renowned Art director of Bollywood ( DevD, Chak de India, ek tha tiger, the Darjeeling limited, Fitoor etc.)

The students created products out of waste during their open elective. They had participated under "Project Undo Exhibit" category. This category focused on artworks and installations based on turning trash into art and helping spread awareness about reusing our waste. There were 4 different categories under which students from various colleges from Art, Mass Media & Communication, Management, Economics, Law sector from Pune had participated.

Soft skills are an important aspect of any student's life. Soft skills are personal attributes that influence how well you can work or interact with others. These skills make it easier to form relationships with people, create trust and dependability, and lead teams. In essence, they are essential for the students success in the workplace, success in their professional and personal life.

Most interactions with other people require some level of soft skills. In the professional life students might have to present new idea to colleagues, network for a new job, negotiate to win a new contract, and so on. Soft skills are crucial everyday tools that will help accelerate career progression.

On the other hand, a lack of soft skills can limit students potential. The aim of this activity is to develop strong leadership, delegation, teamwork, and communication abilities, to help run projects more smoothly, and improve how you interact with others.
